Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) qualified for the 2018 Canad Inns Men's Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-7 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). of the 2018 Canad Inns Men's Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Dunstone finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Mike Badiuk (Thunder Bay, NONT) 9-2, then went on to lose 10-4 against Jacobs. Dunstone responded with a 3-2 win over Kody Hartung (Langenburg, SK). Dunstone won 6-2 against Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN), then won 8-2 against Daniel Wenzek (Langley, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Dunstone earned 27.750 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Canad Inns Men's Classic, remaining in 16th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.007 after improving upon their best so far this season. Dunstone ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 82.067 points earned so far this season.
