Brown finished 2-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Shiella Cowan (New Westminster, BC) 6-3, then won 8-1 against Eun-jin Oh (Jeonju, KOR). Brown went on to lose 7-2 against Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
