Chadd Vandermade (Ottawa, ON) won 6-5 over Mark Homan (Chelsea, QC) in the Final of the NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel, held September 28 - 30, 2018 in Ottawa, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Vandermade won 7-5 over Sierra Sutherland (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2018 NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel in Ottawa, Ontario; and won 6-4 over Chris Gardner (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Vandermade finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vandermade defeated Maureen Broder (Ottawa, ON) 11-5, then won 7-2 against Stephen Watson (Ottawa, ON) and 6-5 against Gardner in their final qualifying round match.
