To advance to the championship game, Dunstone won 9-5 over Rich Ruohonen (Chaska, USA) in the semifinals of the 2018 Oakville Fall Classic in Oakville, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-4 over Ross Paterson (Glasgow, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Oakville Fall Classic in Oakville, Ontario, Canada;
 
Dunstone finished 4-0 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Jordan Chandler (Sudbury, NONT) 10-4, then won 7-5 against Scott McDonald (Kingston, ON) and 8-4 against Doug Brewer (Brockville, ON). Dunstone won 8-2 against Andrin Schnider (St. Gallen, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Oakville Fall Classic, Dunstone take home 30.822 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 16th place overall with 197.634 total points.
