Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) won 8-7 over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling, held October 23 - 28, 2018 in Truro, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 8-4 over Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia; and won 8-4 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia;
Hasselborg finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg lost 6-5 to Scheidegger, then responded with a 6-4 win over Laura Walker (Edmonton, AB). Hasselborg won 7-1 against Jamie Sinclair (Chaska, USA). Hasselborg went on to lose 5-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling Championship title, Hasselborg earned 88.553 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 624.950 total points. Hasselborg ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 257.728 points earned so far this season.
