Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) qualified for the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-2 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia;

Gushue finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) 7-6, then won 5-2 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Gushue went on to lose 8-4 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Gushue responded with a 8-3 win over Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Gushue earned 34.462 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 547.788 total points. Gushue ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 130.804 points earned so far this season.
