Muirhead finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Jacqueline Harrison (Toronto, ON) 6-5, then went on to lose 5-2 against Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Muirhead responded with a 8-5 win over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON). Muirhead won 5-4 against Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
