Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) qualified for the 2018 Boost National playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO).
 
Gushue finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue lost 8-6 to Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI), then responded with a 8-1 win over Ross Paterson (Glasgow, SCO). Gushue won 5-3 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI). Gushue went on to lose 6-5 against Mouat in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 34.654 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Boost National, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -17.469 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gushue ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 271.983 points earned so far this season.
