Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS) won 9-4 over Rob Ainsley (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 20 - 23, 2018 at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Timofeev won 9-2 over 's John Willsey in the semifinals of the 2018 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-3 over 's Ian Dickie in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada;
 
Timofeev finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Timofeev lost 8-7 to Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON), droppimg another game, 6-1 to Charlie Richard (London, ON) where Timofeev responded with a 5-4 win over Xiu Yue Ma (Beijing, CHN). Timofeev won 5-4 against Ed Cyr (Fredericton, NB), then won 5-1 against Andrew Stopera (Chaska, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Timofeev earned 22.596 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. Timofeev move up 32 spots after posting a net gain of 18.393 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 76th overall with 47.426 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Timofeev ranks 21st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.375 points earned so far this season.
