To advance to the championship game, Heldin/Lindstroem won 7-6 over Jana Naceradska/Radek Bohac (Prague, CZE) in the semifinals of the 2018 Oberstdorf International Mixed Doubles Cup in Oberstdorf, Germany; and won 6-5 over Gina Aitken/Scott Andrews (Stirling, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Oberstdorf International Mixed Doubles Cup in Oberstdorf, Germany;
 
Heldin/Lindstroem finished 3-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heldin/Lindstroem defeated Jolanda Devaux/Michael Devaux (Baden, SUI) 11-4, then won 7-3 against Dace Regza/Ansis Regza (Rīga, LAT) and 7-5 against Lena Kapp/Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER).
