Fournier won 7-6 against Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON), then won 6-5 against Martin Crete (St-Romuald, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix, Fournier take home 21.423 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 38th place overall with 112.620 total points.
