Jean-Sebastien Roy (Saguenay, QC) won 8-4 over Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) in the Final of the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix, held November 22 - 25, 2018 in Clermont, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Roy won 5-4 over Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2018 Challenge Casino de Charlevoix in Clermont, Quebec; and won 9-4 over Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Challenge Casino de Charlevoix in Clermont, Quebec;
 
Roy finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roy defeated Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS) 7-3, then won 6-4 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Roy went on to lose 9-3 against Stevens. Roy responded with a 8-5 win over Martin Crete (St-Romuald, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix Championship title, Roy earned 29.213 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 39th place overall with 111.479 total points. Roy ranks 42nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 66.735 points earned so far this season.
