Kaufman finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaufman defeated Chantele Broderson (Edmonton, AB) 6-2, then won 6-5 against Steuber and 8-1 against 's Krysta Hilker in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Avonair Cash Spiel Championship title, Kaufman earned 20.465 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 77th place overall with 45.221 total points.
