In their opening game, Muyres defeated Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) 9-2, then won 4-3 against Brock Virtue (Kerrobert, SK) and 6-5 against Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK). Muyres won 8-6 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
