Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2018 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Morris, MB).

Bottcher finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) 6-5, then won 7-6 against Matthew Blandford (Victoria, BC) and 8-0 against Sean Geall (Kelowna, BC). Bottcher won 7-1 against Gunnlaugson, then won 8-2 against Matt Tolley (Penticton, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
