To advance to the championship game, Muirhead won 8-5 over Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2018 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada; and won 3-0 over Charley Thomas (Toronto, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Muirhead finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) 9-3, then won 6-4 against Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) and 6-5 against Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN). Muirhead won 6-4 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB), then won 8-5 against Kirk Muyres (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic Championship title, Muirhead earned 61.055 world rankings points along with the $19,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 19th place overall with 235.701 total points. Muirhead ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 133.549 points earned so far this season.
