Bryce finished 4-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bryce defeated Stefan Sever (Jesenice, SLO) 7-5, then won 10-3 against Kapp and 10-3 against Jakub Rychly (Prague, CZE). Bryce won 10-2 against Marek Briza (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.
