Charley Thomas (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) won 6-1 over Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the CurlON Men's Cash Spiel - Acton, held December 14 - 16, 2018 in Acton, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Thomas won 8-2 over Rob Lobel (Thornhill, ON) in the semifinals of the 2019 CurlON Men's Cash Spiel - Acton in Acton, Ontario; and won 9-3 over Charlie Richard (London, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 CurlON Men's Cash Spiel - Acton in Acton, Ontario;

Thomas finished 2-2 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thomas defeated Wayne Tuck Jr. (Strathroy, ON) 9-6, then won 12-3 against Dale Kelly (Chatham, ON). Thomas went on to lose 9-4 against Retchless. Thomas lost 7-3 to Ian Dickie (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the CurlON Men's Cash Spiel - Acton Championship title, Thomas earned 22.931 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 18 of the event schedule, Thomas did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
