Mike Armstrong (Regina, SK) qualified for the 2018 Estevan SCT playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2018 Estevan SCT in Estevan, Saskatchewan;

Armstrong finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Armstrong defeated Logan Ede (Regina, SK) 4-2, then went on to lose 9-5 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Armstrong lost 8-4 to Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) where Armstrong responded with a 8-7 win over Mark Walter (Estevan, SK). Armstrong won 7-1 against Travis Tokarz (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Armstrong earned 5.228 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Estevan SCT. Armstrong move up 28 spots after posting a net gain of 4.396 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 145th overall with 24.007 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Armstrong ranks 124th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.850 points earned so far this season.
