Pahl finished 2-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pahl lost 7-5 to Appelman, then responded with a 8-6 win over Kevin Tym (Edmonton, AB). Pahl won 7-1 against Dan Bubola (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Original 16 WCT Bonspiel, Pahl take home 17.644 world rankings points along with the $4,200CDN prize, moving up 48 spots the World Ranking Standings into 90th place overall with 42.124 total points. Pahl ranks 60th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.996 points earned so far this season.
