Marc Muskatewitz (Baden Baden, GER) finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muskatewitz defeated Mikhail Vaskov (Dmitrov, RUS) 10-6, then went on to lose 8-3 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Muskatewitz responded with a 7-3 win over Wille Makela (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Muskatewitz won 6-5 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Muskatewitz went on to lose 7-4 against Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR). Muskatewitz lost 9-3 to Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) where Muskatewitz responded with a 8-4 win over Bartosz Dzikowski (Katowice, POL). Muskatewitz won 7-5 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI). Muskatewitz went on to lose 8-2 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Muskatewitz earned 25.565 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships. Muskatewitz move up 84 spots after posting a net gain of 23.186 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 98th overall with 39.841 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Muskatewitz ranks 88th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 25.565 points earned so far this season.
