Edin won 5-3 against Mikhail Vaskov (Dmitrov, RUS), then won 11-4 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA) and 5-4 against Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR). Edin won 9-5 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED), then won 9-8 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) and 8-2 against Marc Muskatewitz (Baden Baden, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
