Brydone finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brydone defeated Jan Iseli (Biel, SUI) 7-3, then went on to lose 4-3 against Hoesli. Brydone responded with a 7-0 win over Simon Gempeler (Adelboden, SUI). Brydone won 5-4 against Lucien Lottenbach (Luzern, SUI), then won 7-5 against Michael Mueller (Aarau, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge, Brydone take home 17.494 world rankings points along with the $4,581CDN prize.
