To advance to the championship game, Polikarpova/Karetnikov won 9-6 over Ildiko Szekeres/Gyorgy Nagy (Budapest, HUN) in the semifinals of the 2019 International Mixed Doubles Sochi 2 in Sochi, Russia; and won 9-7 over Johanna Heldin/Kristian Lindstroem (Uppsala, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 International Mixed Doubles Sochi 2 in Sochi, Russia;
 
Polikarpova/Karetnikov finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Polikarpova/Karetnikov lost 12-2 to Marie Turmann/Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST), then responded with a 6-4 win over Ksenia Strelkova/Roman Zhukovsky (Moscow, RUS).
