In their opening game, Hart defeated Andrew McDonald (Midland, MI) 6-5, then won 4-1 against Hang Qu (Harbin, CHN) and 8-1 against Damian Gorman (Toronto, ON). Hart went on to lose 5-3 against Eric Fenech (Toronto, ON). Hart lost 6-2 to Sam Mooibroek (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
