In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Andrew McDonald (Midland, MI) 8-6, then won 8-3 against Aiden Poole (Chatham, ON) and 5-1 against Hart. Mooibroek won 6-4 against Ze Zhong Zhang (Changchun, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
