Dobson finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dobson lost 8-2 to Christopher Inglis (Ottawa, ON), then responded with a 8-1 win over Sam Langworth (Oshawa, ON). Dobson won 5-1 against Linden Imeson-Jorna (Elmira, ON). Dobson went on to lose 9-1 against Damian Gorman (Toronto, ON). Dobson responded with a 7-3 win over Glen Johnson (Oakville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
