Bice went on to lose 5-3 against Steve Allen (Ottawa, ON). Bice responded with a 5-3 win over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the CurlON Men's Cash Spiel - Leaside Championship title, Bice earned 20.348 world rankings points along with the $2,800CDN first prize cheque, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 42nd place overall with 96.890 total points. Bice ranks 51st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.288 points earned so far this season.
