Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON) lost 9-3 to 's Cory Heggestad in the Final of the Port Elgin Superspiel, held November 16 - 18, 2018 at the Port Elgin Curling Club in Port Elgin, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Bice won 6-2 over John Willsey (Waterloo, ON) in the semifinals   of the 2018 Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-2 over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2018 Port Elgin Superspiel in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada; 
 
Bice finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bice defeated Dayna Deruelle (Harriston, ON) 5-2, then won 6-5 against Al Hutchinson (Owen Sound, ON) and 5-4 against Charlie Richard (London, ON). Bice won 6-3 against 's Richard Krell in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Port Elgin Superspiel, Bice take home 17.754 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN prize. Bice move up 6 spots after posting a net gain of 8.554 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 44th overall with 91.958 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Bice ranks 66th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.754 points earned so far this season.
