Cathy Auld (Toronto, ON) lost 5-4 to Jestyn Murphy (Mississauga, ON) in the Final of the Listowel Womens Classic, held November 30 - December 2, 2018 at the Listowel Curling Club in Listowel, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Auld won 6-1 over Chelsea Brandwood (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2018 Listowel Womens Classic in Listowel, Ontario, Canada; and won 8-1 over Kesa Van Osch (Parksville, BC) in the quarterfinals.
 
Auld finished 2-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Auld defeated Jaclyn Peters (Ottawa, ON) 7-6, then went on to lose 8-7 against Erica Hopson (Ottawa, ON). Auld lost 8-3 to Sherry Middaugh (Thornhill, ON) where Auld responded with a 6-1 win over Murphy in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Listowel Womens Classic, Auld take home 19.743 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize. Auld move up 18 spots after posting a net gain of 17.324 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 55th overall with 75.917 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Auld ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 63.823 points earned so far this season.
