Thomas won 7-2 against Colin Dow (Ottawa, ON), then won 6-5 against Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON). Thomas went on to lose 10-2 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Thomas lost 8-3 to Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) where Thomas responded with a 10-5 win over Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON). Thomas won 9-5 against Rob Retchless (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Thomas earned 12.753 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Ontario Tankard. For week 25 of the event schedule, Thomas did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thomas ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
