Ty Dilello (Winnipeg, MB) lost 7-2 to Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the MCT Championships, held December 7 - 9, 2018 at the East St. Paul Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Dilello won 8-2 over Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) in the semifinals
 
Dilello finished 2-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dilello defeated Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) 5-4, then went on to lose 5-3 against Smith. Dilello responded with a 6-0 win over David Bohn (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the MCT Championships, Dilello take home 18.047 world rankings points along with the $1,200CDN prize. Dilello move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 14.609 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 34th overall with 123.763 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
