Julie McEvoy (Halifax, NS) qualified for the 2018 Lady Monctonian Invitational Spiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Colleen Jones (Halifax, NS). of the 2018 Lady Monctonian Invitational Spiel in Moncton, New Brunswick;

McEvoy finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEvoy defeated Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton , NB) 4-3, then went on to lose 6-4 against Justine Comeau (Fredericton, NB). McEvoy responded with a 5-3 win over Veronica Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). McEvoy won 5-4 against Kristen MacDiarmid (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

McEvoy earned 9.300 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Lady Monctonian Invitational Spiel.
