Min Ji Kim (chuncheon city, KOR) finished 4-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 9-5 to Jamie Sinclair (Chaska, USA), then responded with a 6-4 win over Tracy Fleury (Winnipeg, CAN). Kim won 6-2 against Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS), then won 8-7 against Sinclair and 5-3 against Fleury. Kim went on to lose 7-4 against Kovaleva in their final qualifying round match.
