Min Ji Kim (chuncheon city, KOR) finished 5-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Tori Koana (Fujiyoshida, JPN) 7-5, then went on to lose 6-5 against Cory Christensen (Chaska, USA). Kim responded with a 7-2 win over Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO). Kim won 6-3 against Koana, then won 7-2 against Christensen and 11-3 against Jackson in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling World Cup Jonkoping Championship title, Kim earned 47.303 world rankings points along with the $36,000CDN first prize cheque. Kim move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 44.259 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 19th overall with 190.537 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 188.808 points earned so far this season.
