In their opening game, Pfister defeated Alexey Timofeev (St. Petersburg, RUS) 8-6, then won 6-2 against Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS). Pfister went on to lose 8-4 against German Doronin (Moscow, RUS). Pfister lost 4-2 to Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) in their final qualifying round match.
