To advance to the championship game, Korte won 7-5 over Brady Kendel (Kronau, SK) in the semifinals of the 2018 Saskatoon Nutana Cash in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 6-5 over Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Saskatoon Nutana Cash in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Korte finished 2-1 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Korte defeated Steven Howard (Regina, SK) 5-3, then went on to lose 7-4 against Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK). Korte responded with a 8-5 win over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Saskatoon Nutana Cash Championship title, Korte earned 17.097 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 95 spots the World Ranking Standings into 132nd place overall with 25.286 total points.
