To advance to the championship game, Bellavance won 6-1 over Steeve Gagnon (Montreal, QC) in the semifinals of the 2018 Challenge Nord-Ouest Air Creebec in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec; and won 10-8 over Gerry Savoie (Val d'Or, QC) in the quarterfinals.

Bellavance finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bellavance defeated Guy Simard (Amos, QC) 6-1, then won 7-3 against Bruno Crepeault (Val d'Or, QC) and 7-5 against Josee Bedard (Val d'Or, QC). Bellavance won 9-3 against Yannick Martel (Kenogami, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
