Scott Becker (Naseby, NZL) finished 5-3 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Becker lost 12-1 to Yuta Matsumura (Sapporo, JPN), then responded with a 14-8 win over Viktor Kim (Almaty, KAZ). Becker won 8-4 against Nassar Alyafei (Doha, QAT), then won 4-3 against Jay Merchant (Sydney, AUS) and 10-6 against Jason Chang (Hong Kong, HKG). Becker won 8-6 against SooHyuk Kim (Seoul, KOR). Becker went on to lose 8-6 against Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN). Becker lost 7-4 to Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) in their final qualifying round match.

Becker earned 10.688 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, moving up 247 spots the World Ranking Standings into 210th place overall with 11.436 total points. Becker ranks 149th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.688 points earned so far this season.
