To advance to the championship game, Korte won 6-4 over Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2018 Regina Highland Cashspiel in Regina, Saskatchewan; and won 5-0 over Brady Kendel (Kronau, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Regina Highland Cashspiel in Regina, Saskatchewan;

Korte finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Korte lost 6-4 to Mike Armstrong (Regina, SK), then responded with a 7-4 win over Shawn Meyer (Regina, SK).
