Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC) finished 2-1 in the 4-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Nicole Backe (Victoria, BC) 13-1, then went on to lose 11-4 against Brette Richards (Kelowna, BC). Thompson responded with a 7-6 win over Sarah Daniels (Delta, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
