Sam Steep (Cambridge, ON) won 8-7 over Sam Mooibroek (Cambridge, ON) in the Final Steep advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Ontario Junior Curling Championships, held December 27 - 30, 2018 in Ajax, Ontario.
 
Steep finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Steep defeated Landan Rooney (Mississauga, ON) 9-4, then won 7-6 against Joey Hart (Whitby, ON) and 8-3 against Cameron Goodkey (Ottawa, ON). Steep went on to lose 8-4 against Aiden Poole (Chatham, ON). Steep lost 8-1 to Ryan Hahn (Ottawa, ON) where Steep responded with a 10-8 win over Mooibroek. Steep won 7-6 against Connor Massey (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
