Walter won 7-6 against Thomas Titchkosky (Morden, MB), then won 7-3 against Thomas Dunlop (East St. Paul, MB) and 7-6 against Joshua Friesen (Winnipeg, MB). Walter won 8-6 against Jack Hykaway (Winnipeg, MB), then won 7-6 against Ryan Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
