Desmond Young (Edmonton, AB) won 8-7 over Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in the Final Young advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Alberta Junior Provincials, held January 2 - 6, 2019 in Okotoks, Alberta.

Young finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Young defeated Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB) 11-8, then won 7-4 against van Amsterdam and 8-6 against Cole Adams (Calgary, AB). Young won 7-4 against Jared Palanuik (Airdrie, AB), then won 4-3 against Cole Ector (Calgary, AB) and 8-6 against Andrew Manson (Airdrie, AB). Young went on to lose 9-6 against Ryan Parent (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 21 of the event schedule, Young did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Young ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
