After advancing directly to the championship game, Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) lost 7-6 to Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Alberta Junior Provincials, held January 2 - 6, 2019 in Okotoks, Alberta.
 
Skrlik finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skrlik defeated Catherine Clifford (Edmonton, AB) 8-5, then won 8-4 against Sturmay and 10-5 against Jessica Wytrychowski (Airdrie, AB). Skrlik won 7-6 against Veronica Maschmeyer (Edmonton, AB), then won 5-4 against Zoe Cinnamon (Cochrane, AB). Skrlik went on to lose 5-3 against Ryleigh Bakker (Calgary, AB). Skrlik responded with a 4-3 win over Kathryn Lepine (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 21 of the event schedule, Skrlik did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Skrlik ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
