Ann Podoll (Fargo, ND) finished 4-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Podoll lost 8-6 to Annmarie Dubberstein (Chaska, USA), then responded with a 12-1 win over Sarah Walsh (Oakland, CA). Podoll won 10-3 against Cait Flannery (Chaska, USA), then won 10-8 against Ariel Traxler (Fairbanks, AK) and 8-6 against Kim Rhyme (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the USA Women's Challenge Round Championship title, Podoll earned 5.625 world rankings points, moving up 28 spots the World Ranking Standings into 156th place overall with 14.217 total points. Podoll ranks 149th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.885 points earned so far this season.
