In their opening game, Higgins lost 6-4 to John Likely (Charlottetown, PEI), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) where Higgins responded with a 10-4 win over Jamie Newson (Summerside, PEI). Higgins won 8-2 against Smith. Higgins went on to lose 7-2 against Likely in their final qualifying round match.
