In their opening game, Smith defeated Lisa Jackson (Charlottetown, PEI) 8-5, then won 7-5 against Sarah Fullerton (Charlottetown, PEI) and 8-2 against Melissa Morrow (Summerside, PEI). Smith won 7-6 against Birt. Smith went on to lose 4-3 against Fullerton. Smith responded with a 10-3 win over Morrow. Smith went on to lose 9-7 against Birt in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the PEI Scotties, Smith take home 4.950 world rankings points. Smith move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 2.144 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 99th overall with 37.254 total points on the World Ranking Standings. WOLFVILLE, N.S. — Edmonton’s Team Selena Sturmay solidified a berth into the 2025 Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials, presented by Connect Hearing, with a 9-4 win over Team Kayla MacMillan (Victoria) in the third and final game of the women’s best-of-three final at the 2025 Home Hardware Canadian Pre-Trials on Sunday afternoon.
