John Stewart (Valleyfield, QC) 11-7, then won 10-6 against Scott Hill (Ormstown, QC). Martel went on to lose 12-5 against Jeffrey Stewart (Montreal, QC). Martel lost 10-3 to Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) where Martel responded with a 6-4 win over Martin Ferland (Trois-Rivieres, QC). Martel went on to lose 9-7 against Steven Munroe (Levis, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
