Smith lost 11-7 to Sam Steep (Galt, ON) where Smith responded with a 16-2 win over Javen Komaksiutiksak (Iqaluit, NU). Smith won 9-5 against Trygg Jensen (Whitehorse, YK) in their final qualifying round match.
